Brian is from Newfoundland, Canada. He was Runner-Up at the 2008 Hong Kong International Comedy Festival. He is the creator and host of Seoul’s very popular comedy room, STAND UP SEOUL. He is a writer for South Korea’s GROOVE Magazine. Since 2009, he has been performing SOLD OUT shows all over South Korea. After stepping on stage for the first time in November 2005, Aylward is already an international act throughout Asia. He has performed shows in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and Taiwan.
An ESL teacher turned comic, Aylward is a self-proclaimed ” microphone whore.” While working as a teacher during the day, Brian has been on the mic over 200 times in 16 months. While collecting credits from radio, TV and film, Aylward is also in considerable demand as an emcee for numerous events and charity fundraisers. Upon returning home in early 2011, Aylward’s out loud observations and storytelling promise to be a hilarious hit with audiences across North America and beyond.
