Biography

Earl joins us from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. An avid fan of comedy since he was a child, he was influenced by the comedic legends Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, and George Carlin. Since moving to Hong Kong he was encouraged to try his hand at stand-up by none other than Jami Gong. “You like comedy…you’ve always wanted to try stand-up… hey I run a comedy club here in Hong Kong!” Bingo! My long lost brother from another mother!

A 17-year career as a pilot has given Earl plenty of material. That and listening to Richard Pryor records while trying not to get caught when he was only 7 years-old. Having spent most of his life trying to make people laugh, becoming a stand-up was the natural choice. He made his official debut in April 2009 at Take Out Comedy. In October of 2011, he was a finalist in the 5th Hong Kong International Comedy Festival.

Earl has opened for Wali Collins (USA), Paul Ogata (USA/JPN), Ruben Paul (USA) and Al Ducharme (USA). He has performed in Shenzen and Guangzhou, China and the Philippines. He also was the headlining act at Comedy Masala #63 in Singapore in December of 2011.

“Earl is hilarious from start to finish. This is one comedian that truly delivers.”
