Jackson grew up was born in Orange County California but was adopted and spent most of his formative years in Alabama.
Jackson broke his neck when he was 15 and began working as a DJ at a local radio station in Blakely, Georgia 93.5 WBBK from 1988 to 1990. He attended college in Atlanta, Georgia and was known as “Action Jackson” from 1992 to 1995 at WGUN AM 1010 doing News Talk Sports.
Jackson began his standup comedy career in 2008 at Charlie Goodnight’s Comedy Club in Raleigh, North Carolina during an open mic. He returned to Hong Kong and under the tutelage of Jami Gong, owner and operator of TakeOut Comedy Club in Hong Kong where he matured.
Jackson performs around the world. He frequents with the Comedy Cartel in the Philippines, did a cameo during the Nando’s Comedy Festival in Cape Town, South Africa, The Laugh Garage in Sydney, Australia, The Comedy Lounge in Perth, Australia, the Comedy Club Asia in KL, Malaysia, and SoHo Comedy Club in London, and Comedy Masala in Singapore.
Jackson also returns to the USA often and does shows at the Comedy Underground in Seattle, Washington, Raven’s Lounge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Times Square Comedy Club in New York City. He calls the Laughing Skull in Atlanta, Georgia his second comedy club home.
Jackson currently is writing an online novel about his life as a comedian in Asia called “Kill or Be Killed”.
