A refugee from the glamourous world of statistical analysis, James is possibly the only regular performer at TakeOut Comedy to specialise in zoophilia. In jokes about zoophilia. Not actually taking part in zoophilia. No. Really.
Before moving to Hong Kong, James wrote Diet Croydon, a romantic comedy about South London. After he wrote Diet Croydon, he started receiving death threats. His piece de resistance, a ghoulish horror novel set in the remote islands of Hong Kong, has yet to be published, after which he may have to reconsider his safety.
Obsessed by shoes, the sizes of things, Cartesian conceptions of mindedness and dealing with unwanted attention from strange ladies, James also maintains Hong Kong’s largest archive of egg-themed jokes.
