When Stuart is not behind his desk doing a ‘grown up’ job he is one of the comedians lucky enough to be a regular head-liner at TakeOut Comedy in Hong Kong
Hailing from London – some would say the comedy capital of the world – Stuart was always keen to try his hand at stand-up. However, upon realising that Londoners were quite fussy about their comedy being ‘funny’, it quickly became clear that he would have to move to Hong Kong – a place where he would be free to practice his unique brand of ‘unfunny’ humour on those with too many good manners to throw things at him.
However after 3 years of performing in Hong Kong, Stuart is finally beginning to learn what ‘funny’ is. He’s had the privilege of having performed with some very funny folk indeed and is also thrilled to have been there at the beginning of what is now a vibrant and popular comedy scene.
In 2008 he placed 4th in the annual Hong Kong International Comedy Festival and in 2009 he placed 2nd. If this mathematical pattern continues to hold true, it is clear that in the 2010 competition he will place 0
His comedy heroes are Bill Hicks, Eddie Izzard and Ed Byrne…
